Enjoy a free outdoor concert on the EMBARQ main stage or jump on board the "Blues Cruise" and listen to  Blues performers at seven venues in the Uptown area. Under the artistic direction of Shrimp City Slim (Gary Erwin), the "Blues Cruise" has featured a wide variety of Blues performers including Drink Small, Wanda Johnson, the WIYO's, Delta Moon, Bob Margolin, Bryan Lee "The Braille Blues Daddy", MacArnold, Nappy Brown, Shane Pruitt, The King Bees, Dave Mackenzie, Chocolate Thunder, and many more!

Sterling "Satan" Magee (guitar/vocals) and Adam Gussow (harmonica) are one of the great eccentric duos in the blues.  Beginning as street musicians in Harlem, Satan & Adam became an international festival draw before going into semi-retirement a half-dozen years ago.  Back by popular demand, they have regrouped and are joined by ace drummer Dave Laycock.  Check out these youtube clips - www.youtube.com/kudzurunner - Amazing!

Rickey Godfrey, known to many for a career sidetrack into beach and shag music, is a tough blues triple-threat (guitar, keys, vocals), one of the best bluesmen to come out of South Carolina in recent years.  He recently caused a sensation at the 18th annual Blues Bash in Charleston.

Sometimes it takes a young man with an old soul to really wail the blues.  Enter Matt Walsh, a Tarheel guitarist/singer, who channels classic Chess Records-era blues from the likes of Jimmy Rogers, John Brim, and Muddy Waters.  Walsh, joined by bassist Matt Hill, is turning heads with his distinctive retro style.
